The Therion Subhilt Fighter is another masterpiece from acclaimed tactical knifemaker David Broadwell. The Ancient Greeks referred to large beasts as “Therion” and that is exactly what this knife is- a beast! The massive 10” double grind is one of the largest knives we have ever offered. Every curve of the Therion is meticulously hand ground by Broadwell and finished to perfection.
The CPM-154 stainless blade steel is a powdered metal variety known for impressive toughness, corrosion resistance and and the ability to take a fine finish that David is known for.
The contoured handle of stabilized black ash burl are tough and eye popping gorgeous.
David’s signature subhilt is added for a crowning touch that sets this knife apart from many others-The subhilt acts as a leverage point and increases cutting and thrusting power. Most knifemakers agree that a subhilt fighter is one of the most challenging knife designs to build properly and David Broadwell is acknowledged as a master among his peers in this genre. A fine leather sheath, masterfully handcrafted by Lance Parrish of Southpaw Leatherworks accompanies each knife.
